Throughout the past 10 years I have traveled all over the world and back again.. Plenty of adventures up and down the coasts, above and beyond many mountains and yet I kept coming back to Costa Rica… Call her my first love..

23 years old with eyes wide open I stumbled upon this tranquil paradise with zero expectations and left with a heart and mind filled with Awesomeness! It was a game changer for me, thought I was complete when i moved from my home town in Ohio to the warm beaches of San Diego… Well, I wasn't… so I made plans to move to Costa ASAP… Took me about 5 years but I pulled it off.. In the process I came back down a few times a year exploring everywhere I could, chasing waves,checking out volcano's and being a funny tourist wherever I saw fit..

One trip while hanging in Avellanas, Guanacaste the waves went totally flat and I had my fill of fishing, heard that there was a golf course literally across the river… So I went and checked it out. Hacienda Pinilla is what I found… 4500 acres of land with access to a few of my favorite surf spots, along with a public golf course that may as well be private as there is never a need for a T time due to the lack of play.. What a dream.. Decided to buy a membership to the course to guarantee I would keep coming back to play.. As time went on I snooped around some more and realized that this just might be the place I could call home when I decided to make the jump..

Well, I did it. In 2008 I made the jump and got myself a home here. 2010 I met the love of my life and the rest is history. It's been a few years of having fun and enjoying what life has to offer and then some. Since inception of the Awesomeness Collection by Ricante we have had such amazing feedback from all that have enjoyed our sauce that it seems natural to invite the world down to our special piece of Awesomeness here in Costa Rica.
